Credenhill Red Cross Village Warden

My name is Barbara Symonds. I am the new British Red Cross Village Warden for Credenhill.

I have lived in the village since 1996. Professionally I have 8 years experience of working in Social Care throughout Herefordshire.

The function of a Village Warden is to be a source of information and support topeople in the community experiencing ill health, bereavement, financial or other personal crisis. I wish to work with the established groups in Credenhill, which provide social activities and support within the village for older people, e.g. Credenhill Friendship Club and Taste for Adventure, along with the local Church. It is my aim to promote and work with the existing groups and professionals providing another source of help within the community. My post is part time at 12 hours weekly.
